Double Up Page 12

The sight makes me groan, “Oh my God.” When he bites his lip, I have to look away and bury my face in the pillow.

“Want you so bad.” He lifts me up, onto my knees. “Straddle my lap, baby.”

I tilt my head to kiss him as he lowers me down onto his cock. He’s letting me control the pace of the penetration, and I’m grateful, because fuck even as much as he prepared me, it hurts as he breaches me. But once the backs of my thighs are brushing the tops of his, and his hands run up my body to tease my nipples, something in me unfurls. I’m full, eager, this position pressing his cock just right against my gland. He’s buried so deep inside me, he’s nudging my heart.

“I’m good, you can move,” I tell him, pushing back.

He rocks into me experimentally, and I gasp because holy fuck it’s so much better than good. I start to ride him, lifting up and slamming back down. His hands fit to my hips, and he matches my rhythm.

“God, Ben, you’re so fucking sexy,” he mutters into my ear. “You’re hot and tight and the way you move, you make me insane. Grab your dick, baby.” He nudges my hand with his own, wrapping it around my cock and helping me find a rhythm before letting go and grabbing my hips again. I’d never been one for endearments, but being called baby in that soft voice is better than anything.

This time, as the urgency builds, I encourage it, working my hand faster and trying to take him all the way inside.

“That’s right, come for me, gorgeous.” His words in my ear make me moan, but it’s his teeth on my shoulder that throw me over the edge, and I lose myself in my orgasm, sinking back against him as the pleasure surges through me and cum splashes on my abs and his sheets. His hands wrap around me, holding me through it as he bites down harder. Then his teeth are gone and he’s shouting, pumping inside me and growling out my name.

We collapse, limp and sated, on the bed. He tosses the condom in a nearby trash can and gathers me close.

“Did I hurt you?” he asks.

  I shake my head.

I didn’t expect to like it, didn’t expect to feel good, but I should have known Dave could make this good for me. Just like everything else in my life, this is better with him.

“I love you so much,” I whisper, kissing him hard.

He pulls back, smiling. “I love you too.”

  ne year later …

I know his type the minute he walks through the door.

He’s at least thirty, has more heart than sense, and has recently decided he’s going to build an energy-efficient home in the desert, a project that has kept him out of town for the past three weeks. He’s wearing khakis and a polo shirt, which makes me think he came straight from the airport. He’s also cute. Really fucking cute. Dark hair, freckles, dimples, a lean body. And he’s blushing. Even though the security camera feed playing in the office is black and white, I can tell. And it makes my dick hard.

“Anybody here seen Ben Warren?” I hear his voice from the front of the shop.

“Hey, Dave.” Ridley jumps down from where he’s stocking bindings and runs to give his brother a hug. I don’t know what I would have done without the kid the last few months, coming over during summer break on his jet ski and helping out at the pro shop. Usually his buddies from the lake come hang out too, so he’s brought in a good bit of business for us.

We don’t sponsor him anymore because Eddie hooked him up with some of our suppliers—including a big board company—and graciously let him out of his contract. Eddie never planned to hold Ridley to it; he just couldn’t pass up the chance to dig at Rodney Romeo. It seems Ridley’s mom has taken what Dave said to heart about not losing another son, because she lets him hang out here at the shop after school.

“He’s in the office doing the books. You can go ahead back.” Ridley gestures toward the rear of the shop.

Dave appears in the doorway to my office a moment later, and I’m already on my feet. I’m a little unsteady but only ’cause I’ve been at the desk too long and my foot went numb.

“I missed you.” I launch myself, prickly foot and all, into his arms, and he laughs.

“According to my eighteen voice mails this afternoon, so did Eddie. He said it wasn’t fair of me to leave you alone with him before your PT cleared you to wakeboard again. Apparently you needed an outlet today?”

“Yeah, you know I worry about you when you travel. He and Ridley tried to take my energy drinks away.”

His laugh sends happy shivers down my spine. “The horror. Two more weeks, baby. Then you can ride again all you want. I missed you too.” He nuzzles my hair. “The bad news is the clients changed their minds about the layout again. The good news is I can do the rest of the job from home.”

“Good. Because next time I will stow the fuck away in your luggage before I let you leave without me.”

“How are you feeling? Any pain?”

I shake my head. “Are you my partner or my doctor?”

“Sorry. I’ve just been worried. I really, really missed you.”

I grab my keys and shout, “Hey, Ridley, get out of here.”

Then I turn to Dave. “Take me home and show me how much.”

  He totally blushes. Dayum.

Author of over a dozen novels, novellas, and short stories, Vanessa North delights in giving happy-ever-afters to characters who don’t think they deserve them. Relentless curiosity led her to take up knitting and run a few marathons “just to see if she could.” She started writing for the same reason. Her very patient husband pretends not to notice when her hobbies take over the house. Living and writing in Northwest Georgia, she finds her attempts to keep a quiet home are frequently thwarted by twin boy-children and a very, very large dog.
